Dinosaur Provincial Park Alberta The circle in the sky is created by the stars spinning around Polaris (the North Star) during a 2.5 hour exposure. Star-trail shots require a lot of patience and planning so I'm amazed this turned out at all. My previous attempts had turned out stinky potatoes.
